It’s an exciting city with plenty to offer and lots of room to grow. It is also why it is a growing concern for Toronto. Although Mississauga is a suburb of Toronto, it is also an independent city and a rival for industry, residential and commercial real estate development and tourism dollars. And though Canada’s busiest airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport is named for that city, it is actually in Mississauga and so both cities take advantage of its use and proximity.

Mississauga’s financial district is relatively small in comparison to Toronto’s, but its industrial park can rival any in Canada in size, important clientele and potential for growth. Microsoft, Texaco, Wal-Mart, PepsiCo, Maple Leaf Foods and Siemens AG are but a few of the companies that have chosen Mississauga as their home base.

Condos for sale or rent are everywhere and in every conceivable style. Apartment and tower condos are by far the predominant types and are scattered throughout the region. Prices can vary from modest for a single-bedroom apartment condo with indoor pool, parking facilities and a nice view, to high price for a luxury single-bedroom, high-rise condo unit with a superb view, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, central air-conditioning and many other amenities.

With over 450 trails, parks and wooded areas there are plenty of green spaces to enjoy nature’s beauty. The Mississauga Meadow Trail, Mississauga Valley Trail, Erindale Park Credit River, Waterfront Trail, Rattray Marsh Conservation and Cooksville Creek Trail are just some of the places of mention.

Cultural and historical attractions include the Living Arts Centre, Bradley Museum, Old Meadowvale Village and the Benares Historic House. For those seeking shopping etc., there is the Square One Shopping Centre with over 360 stores. It is one of the largest shopping areas in all of Canada. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, it probably doesn’t exist! There are also other smaller shopping plazas, but the great thing about the region is that there are many condo complexes within walking distance of the Square One Shopping complex making it very attractive to homebuyers.

There is a plethora of sports activities available from figure skating, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, swimming etc. No matter what your fancy you’ll be able to partake of it here. And there are many schools offering education at all levels in all fields of endeavor.

Mississauga has its own extensive transportation system and it links up with the Toronto Transit subway system. There are many bus lines and trains available providing ample opportunities to travel around town or venture into other towns, boroughs or municipalities. Most condos are within close connection to a bus or train link making commuting to work, school or anywhere else simple and easy.

The city also boasts its own libraries, hospitals, firefighters and police forces. Safety and security are never an issue, as their emergency system is rated as one of the nation’s best. If you are searching for your dream condominium, real estate investment or the quintessence of ideal living there is no place better suited than Mississauga, Ontario.
